10 People Dead Including 3 Children After Plane Crashes Into Soccer Field

In a tragic turn of events, 10 people are dead, including three children, after a plane crashed into a soccer field. The incident happened on Monday in central Mexico.

Outlet abc7 confirmed the deadly crash, which involved a private jet. The small aircraft attempted to make an emergency landing in a soccer field. However, the aircraft kept going and crashed into a nearby warehouse. The crash happened near San Mateo, Atenco. The plane burst into flames upon crashing due to the fact the warehouse had fuel and gas tanks inside.

The flight had been headed to Toluca from Acapulco. Officials evacuated the building after the crash. San Mateo Atenco Mayor Ana Muñiz revealed more than 130 people needed to be evacuated from the area. The plane crash killed 10 people.

"It spun around like when a fan breaks loose," local resident Octavio Contreras said. "Then we heard the explosion, the truck even moved, and then we saw smoke coming out."
