A dad is being praised as a hero after running back into a house fire to save his young daughter. Their Michigan home caught fire last weekend. While the father managed to escape, he realized his daughter was still in the house.
Although he suffered burns, he managed to rescue the young girl. Now, both are recovering at the hospital. Middleville, Thornapple Township Emergency Services said in a news release that the father saved his daughter from the house fire. However, firefighters were unable to save the home.
Michelle Holsey is praising her fiancé, John Biermaker, for saving everyone inside. Biermaker sprang into action after hearing Holsey's screams. He managed to save everyone but his young daughter. Upon realizing she was upstairs, he ran back into the house fire.

"We didn't see Cali, so he just didn't think twice," Holsey told WZZM. "Just booked it up the hot stairs. He said he kept falling once he got her, kept tripping down the stairs."
"But John, he's in a lot of pain his face and he is more wrapped up than she is," Holsey also added.
"A hero, a dad, a true man!" the GoFundMe organizer wrote. "John, you are the strongest person I know. Cali is alive because you didn't give up. You walked through fire for your child."
