Look, I get it, travel can be confusing. With TSA and online check-in processes, a lot can get lost in translation. However, I hope never to make the mistake this woman made while travelling. After booking her trip with American Airlines, this woman believed she had secured her flight to her friend's wedding. However, in reality, she had booked a bus ticket. When she was boarding a bus instead of a plane, this woman realized she had made the mother of all transit mistakes.
Woman Ends Up Boarding A Bus Instead Of A Plane In Mother Of All Transit Mistakes
A New York woman was just trying to make it to her friend's wedding. In a TikTok video, which now has over 2 million views, she shared the debacle. Alex, who goes by @she_is.becoming, thought she had successfully booked her flight from Pennsylvania to Colorado. She had her boarding pass with a little flight icon on it and had to go through security and everything.
However, immediately prior to stepping out on the tarmac, Alex realized something was amiss. The NY Post shares the moment that this traveler realized she made the mother of all transit mistakes. They shared that Alex looked at a woman nearby in her boarding group and asked, "Do you know how long this flight is?"
The startled woman stared at Alex, flabbergasted. Then, she responded with something that Alex was not expecting. "Do you mean the bus?"

I have to admit, Alex had a great attitude about the whole ordeal. I would have been livid and purely dumbfounded. However, this New Yorker was all giggles. In her TikTok video, she shows herself boarding the bus instead of the plane. She wrote the following on top of her video, "POV: When your American Airlines 'flight' is actually a bus."
From there, she admits that she was laughing at herself the whole time. "I thought it was honestly hysterical," she admitted. "Like, the entire bus ride, I was just laughing." Despite her laughter, Alex did admit that the entire situation was confusing. After the ordeal, she even went back and double checked her steps to see if she missed anything — which she did not.
Her first step was to book the "flight" on Google Flights. Honestly, I can understand why she would be boarding a plane instead of a bus when booking through Google Flights. Additionally, her boarding pass had a plane icon on it. The entire situation is just "plane" bizarre.
